Hamlet is known as one of the greatest stage dramas of all time, brought to life by vengeful ghosts, murder, madness and political intrigue. At the center of it all Hamlet, the young Prince of Denmark, struggles to find his way -- and himself -- as he comes to terms with the untimely and suspicious death of his father, the King, along with the hasty remarriage of his mother to his Uncle, the new King. |

Spurred on by a vision of his father's spirit who urges Hamlet to avenge him, the young Prince must also navigate a stormy relationship with his girlfriend, Ophelia, and political double-dealings in the Danish court. As he brilliantly unravels the web of lies that entangle him, Hamlet must confront his own anger, his crippling self-doubt, and his deep desire to act with courage and integrity. What emerges is an intensely human story; at times humorous, at times bittersweet, and always teeming with action. The cast is led by Chase Mullins in the role of Hamlet along with Chris Selland as Hamlet’s inner-being. Claudius, King of Denmark will be performed by Ian Bruce, and the role of Ophelia is played by Erica Bitton, with Viri Cisneros as Ophelia’s inner-being. Other cast members include Megan Marsh (Horatio), Alissa Lund (Gertrude), Brigitte Johnson (Gertrude’s inner-being), Jessica McAlister (Polonius), Sam Turnbull (Laertes, her Son), Tess Jamieson (Rosencrantz), Dana Pollak (Guildenstern), Netta Joseph (Osric) and Nikki Allair (1st Player). The cast also includes the entire MSA Theater Arts class. The production of Hamlet is directed by David Sinaiko, Director of Theater at Marin School of the Arts. Currently, 215 students attend MSA and are pursuing their interests in one of the following areas: vocal or instrumental music, musical theatre, drama, dance, creative writing, video and filmmaking, visual arts and digital arts. Of this, 20% of the students are from outside the Novato Unified School District.“We have more than 40 students who live in Southern Marin or
even Sonoma County,” said Mark Peabody, Founder and Director.
“Students who want to pursue a more real-world and intensive arts
education are naturally attracted to MSA. We have a unique program that
gives talented students a way to explore their interest in-depth, yet
